The Aztec Area Plan is a guide for the future development of the approximately 356 square mile tract owned by Aztec and its related companies. Adopted for inclusion in Navajo County’s Comprehensive Plan in 2011, the Area Plan creates a template for the future of Aztec’s land. It accommodates development in a manner that recognizes the needs and requirements of Navajo County and its citizens to achieve growth in a realistic, balanced, and productive way that is consistent with the County’s unique traditions and culture.
